Many towns on Cape Cod are extremely seasonal, and seem largely vacant in the off season. Woods Hole and Falmouth are definite exceptions to this perception. When you visit our slice of Cape Cod, you’ll be able to experience incredible dining opportunities regardless of the time of year! Even in the winter months, you can feast on local, fresh cuisine that will warm you to the core. Here are a few of the year round options:
The Captain Kidd is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner on weekends, year round. In addition to local seafood, mouth-watering steaks and a wide array of appetizers, raw bar, daily specials, pizza and more – you can enjoy breathtaking views of Eel Pond Harbor from any one of their comfortable dining areas. Choose from a number of hand-crafted cocktails or from the twelve beers on tap at their century old bar.
Open every day except Christmas, Pie in the Sky Bakery & Internet Cafe is right at the end of the Shining Sea Bike Path and just a one minute walk from the Martha’s Vineyard ferry terminal. Open until 10pm every night, this cafe has got the fix for any craving you might be having. Their coffees, espresso, and cocoa drinks are made from freshly ground, 100% Organic & Fair Trade Dean’s Beans that they roast themselves. The hearty, made to order sandwiches together with homemade soups, quiche, and salads make the perfect addition to any adventure, regardless of the season.
Main Street in Falmouth offers many year round dining options, like La Cucina Sul Mare, which offers flavors of Northern Italy and the Mediterranean. Their signature dishes prepared by chef/owner Mark Cliffone include classics like lasagna al forgo, braised lamb shank, oso buco, lobster far diavlo over linguine, zuppa de pesce, rigatoni a la vodka, chicken parmesan and veal piccata.
The interior of the space is richly decorated with hand painted murals, classic tin ceilings and picture windows that overlook the hustle and bustle of main street. When dining at La Cucina, be sure to save room for one of their outstanding homemade desserts.

Open year round, you can be transported to the warm flavors of Mexico regardless of the season. Locally sourced, authentic south of the border cuisine paired with unique and inspired cocktails like the cucumber margarita, will make any night in February seem as warm as a night in July. In addition to incredible food an drink, Anejo Mexican Bistro is proud to display the works of renowned local artist, Sarah Holl. Sarah is a principal in the family owned Scargo Pottery & Art Gallery in Dennis, and was recently commissioned to produce large scale ceramic tile installations for both Cape Cod Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Boston.
