Falmouth’s Fourth of July festivities are unlike any other. The day will begin with a recitation of the Declaration of Independence outside the bookstore, and end with what Travel and Leisure Magazine named one of the top ten fireworks displays in the country. From start to finish, July 4th is one of the best days to be in Falmouth.

Embrace your patriotic side and don your flag themed garments at the bike and carriage parade which begins at 10am at the village green. In addition to outfits, participants are invited to deck out their bike, wagon, scooter, or carriage in red white and blue and follow Uncle Sam down Main Street. The parade culminates at Peg Noonan Park where awards are given to parade participants. Main Street has plenty of al fresco dining so you can also opt to watch the parade from the comfort of a cocktail.

When dusk falls, the Falmouth skyline will explode with color in a truly impressive fireworks display. More than 50,000 people will travel to Falmouth to watch the show, which originates from Falmouth Heights Beach but can be seen throughout the town. The Fourth of July is a day to celebrate and honor our country and what better place than Massachusetts – the place where it all began.
