Mark your calendars for next June as the third weekend here in Falmouth is filled with fun and activities.
ArtsAlive, a street festival with three performance tents is a weekend long fiesta filled with face-painting, balloons, great local music and lots of art for sale. Arts Falmouth, a local non-profit dedicated to bringing creativity to the area, spends all year scheming and planning to bring you top-notch art, crafts, performance artists, musicians and much more over the course of the weekend.
This year it was sunny and warm, the streets filled with locals and travelers enjoying the Cape Cod weather. You will find the ArtsAlive festivities right on the lawn in front of the Falmouth library on Main Street.
On Saturday, St. Barnabus church also puts on a wonderful event called the Strawberry Festival. Harking back to the days when the phrase “Falmouth strawberries” really meant something on the menus of fancy restaurants in Boston and New York, the festival is located under a tent just off the Falmouth Green and runs from 10 am to 2 pm.
With a moon walk, lots of strawberry treats and plenty of Cape Cod sunshine, this is a crowd pleaser for the whole family. The walk from the Strawberry Festival to the ArtsAlive Festival is a short and charming jaunt down historic Main Street.
