Spring is around the corner and there is so much happening in Falmouth this year. Here is a partial listing of events and happenings to celebrate the arrival of the season:
Woods Hole Boat Show (April 18-19)
This fantastic weekend in Woods Hole draws over 500 people to see a huge collection of model boats from around New England on display. There are kids activities, model boat races and more, all organized by the Woods Hole Historical Museum.
Daffodil Days (April 18th and April 25th)
Visit Spohr Gardens as the daffodils come into bloom. There is nothing more beautiful than this harbinger of summer against the early green of spring with the backdrop of Oyster Pond, one of Falmouth’s loveliest salt water ponds.
Falmouth Village Blooming (May 1 – May 10)
Enjoy events throughout the first 10 days of May. The kickoff on the first includes the May Basket displays and contest with all Main Street merchants and bed and breakfasts. There will also be Bloomin’ Bargains and Flower Power Specials at retail shops and restaurants throughout this 10 day event. The first weekend of Falmouth Village Blooming (May2-3) will include kid focused events such as the Eight Cousins Bookstore garden story hour and craft on May 2nd. The second weekend (May8-10) will feature a Falmouth Bed and Breakfast Garden Tour (May 9th 1-3), The Falmouth Beautification Council Plant Sale (May9th 9-3) , and He’s My Hero photo exhibit (May 8th evening) at Vagabond View Photography to benefit Children’s Cove. In Woods Hole be sure to enjoy the traditional Music Stroll in Woods Hole on May 2 as organized by Arts Alive there will be over 20 musical acts playing in different Woods Hole venues over the course of a busy, spirited day.
